The Reef Guardian School REEFlection task was developed to commemorate the 20 year anniversary of the Reef Guardian School program. The REEFlection task is designed to capture your story of connection to the Reef and what it means to you to be a Reef Guardian.

This simplified survey slate can be used when conducting a 10-minute timed-swim survey as part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority's Eye on the Reef - Rapid Monitoring: Be a Marine Biologist for a Day (BAMBFAD) program. The survey is citizen science community monitoring tool that enables students to and collect and contribute data that can be used to inform Reef management. Primary and middle school students usually only do the Be a Marine Biologist for a Day- 10-minute timed swim survey. Senior students (ages 15+ years) usually do the full Rapid Monitoring survey.
