A great resource to introduce students to different coral growth forms and degrees of coral bleaching. When printed and laminated this sheet makes an ideal teaching aid to take out into the field to support student learning.
The front page introduces language used by researchers, citizen scientists and naturalists to describe common coral growth forms. Each of the forms are then backed up with images of coral species that typically grow in that form and their scientific names.
On the reverse page, four categories of impacted corals are shown where the colonies are either totally bleached, the upper surface is bleached, the colony is pale and fluorescent, and the coral is dead with algae growth.
