At TAS the learning starts at an early age through flexible and creative programs in our Early Learning Centers. The core literacy and numeracy skills are then developed through the use of explicit, direct instructional learning in the Early Years phase (P-4), balanced with the introduction of a range of student-centered and collaborative pedagogies as students mature in their approach to learning.
The Middle Years phase has a strong student well-being element as students move from childhood into adolescence, providing the necessary tools for them to navigate through their teens into adulthood. Year 9 sees a further focus on the development of independence, character, and resilience, culminating in the Year 9 Outdoor Education Journey, an 18-day experience of personal growth like no other.
The Year 10 program is “futures oriented” and includes our Pathways Program, Work Experience, Leadership Development Program, and an increasing focus on preparing for Senior Phase subjects.
Our academic programs are enhanced by an outstanding personal development program that helps student develop individual resilience, improve wellbeing, fulfil their potential and build strong core values.
