Welcome to Frenchville State School, one of the most highly regarded schools in the Rockhampton area and within the Central Queensland Region. Our students, staff and parents are proud to contribute to the success of our progressive, dynamic school. We place a strong, united emphasis on nurturing traditional values alongside 21st century pedagogy. The success of our school was verified through the school review process when our school's performance was measured against the National School Improvement Tool. Frenchville's previous successes are also well-known.
We were shortlisted in the State Showcase Excellence Awards in the category of 'academic success', one of only three schools in Queensland to be given this honour. We were also named as being one of the highest performing schools in the state's teaching and learning audit, achieving three outstanding and four high ratings across the eight possible areas as celebrated in The Courier Mail. Our innovative work with technology was recognised when Frenchville was chosen as one of only twenty Microsoft Partners in Learning Pilot Schools selected from across Australia in 2012.
In 2013 we continued to ride this wave of success, with consistently high expectations and pedagogical reform resulting in Frenchville once again being shortlisted in the State Showcase Awards in the category of 'Excellence in the Early and Primary Years category', one of only three schools in the State recognised at the finals. Frenchville was also one of the first schools in the State to undertake the Discipline Audit, a process in which auditors visit the school to examine school culture and the school processes which are enacted to achieve high expectations of student behaviour across the school campus. Frenchville's results were outstanding, resulting in several commendations from the Audit Team.
Joined the Reef Guardian School program in 2005.
