Eimeo Road State School has a proud tradition of providing quality education to students from across the rapidly growing Northern Beaches area of Mackay.
Our student population draws from our enrolment managed catchment area of Eimeo, Blacks Beach, Dolphin Heads and Rural View. We envisage a school where every student is learning, succeeding and flourishing in a positive, caring environment. We believe strong, positive relationships between all members of our school community are the foundation to supporting the success of all students.
This school provides opportunities for all students to reach their academic, cultural and sporting potential by:
Deep Learning in all year levels with a repertoire of High Impact Teachng Strategies which encourages our students to think deeply
Providing an accredited Positive Behaviour for Learning Program (PBL) which recognises student's efforts with special awards and provides a consistent approach to discipline
Participating in extension activities like academic competitions, reading challenges and an Indigenous extension program online
Participating in community activities like: the Mackay Eisteddfod; the Music and Drama Festival; the Mackay Arts Festival; ANZAC Day activities; Whitsunday Voices; and NAIDOC Week celebrations
Providing a comprehensive school music program and instrumental program coordinated by the resident music teacher
Encouraging school sports at all levels of participation with the assistance of the physical education teachers.
Joined the Reef Guardian School program in 2012.
