C & K Mackay Community Kindergarten

Welcome to C&K Mackay Community Kindergarten, where children learn through play, naturally. We have a huge outdoor learning space which builds children’s imaginations and knowledge of the world around us. The children are captivated by a magical fairy door, a mud patch and gardens which produce food and provide habitat for butterflies, birds, insects and frogs. Our indoor space is a beautiful and stimulating learning environment, where children learn their literacy and numeracy skills each day.
Child-Led Learning: No two days are the same at C&K Mackay Community Kindergarten. Our teaching team tailor each day’s learning taking into account the interests of the children in the group. The spacious environment at our kindy is thoughtfully planned and well resourced. There is a focus on music, drama, literature and visual arts and time spent discovering the natural environment outdoors.
Community spirit is important to us at C&K Mackay Community Kindergarten. We foster our strong ties to the local community by encouraging parent involvement in the daily operations of the kindergarten. We often hold and partake in community events and love connecting with local businesses and groups around us.
We have a strong relationship with a number of community organisations including multicultural groups, land care groups and the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens, all of who enrich our program. We are a reef guardian school.
