Konomie Island Environmental Education Centre

Situated eleven kilometres off Yeppoon on the Capricorn Coast, this unique centre, is the only Environmental Education Centre situated on a national park island surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
Visitors to the centre can experience a rich diversity of real life experiences such as snorkelling over coral reefs, investigating sustainability living practices, kayaking, outrigging, marine studies, indigenous history, sustainable fishing, coral and mangrove studies, drone flying, macro invertabrates and a number of other options where your imagination is the limiting factor.
