Whilst steeped in tradition as one of the oldest Secondary Schools in Queensland, Bundaberg State High School symbolises and exemplifies excellence in public school education. Our students are surrounded by possibility and opportunity in many diverse and enriched programs, which provide all students with the opportunity to perform to the best of their ability in academic, sporting and cultural pursuits.
The school’s values of being respectful, responsible, safe and committed are the foundation of student expectations. They are reflected in our standing within the local community, as well as the school’s motto, “Through hard work, the stars.”
As well as student achievement, wellbeing is a fundamental part of our school. Our supportive and inclusive approach to education, which incorporates our international program, provides the opportunity for students to become successful global citizens who can also contribute to the local community.
Joined the Reef Guardian School program in 2020.
