In late 2024, our non-profit organisation completed a series of coral surveys in the Whitsunday Islands as part of our Reef Preservation Project.

In 2020, our organisation created its 3-level Youth Marine Conservation Program that has been conducted every year since then for students at regional Queensland Schools.

Challenge 8. Working in small groups, create a skit of a superhero adopting simple everyday actions to protect reefs. Record the skit and submit a video for judging.

Challenge 3. Make a micro-museum of three coastal ecosystems and produce a short video to explain how they are interconnected.

Challenge 7. Research the different zones in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and the types of fishing activities allowed in each. Zone your classroom and make a short video of your students explaining the fishing rules for each zone.

Challenge 6. Design artwork for a drain in your school that brings attention to the issue of litter that makes it's way through waterways and becomes marine debris. Take a photo of your finished artwork and include an artist's statement.
