Organising your Excursion

Split the class into two groups, the transport managers and the chefs. As a member of one of these groups, you will be responsible for organising transport to and from Reef HQ or organising the food!

As a whole class, make a task list. This should include all the things that will need to be done to organise your excursion and have it run smoothly.

Now put your ideas from your task list into sequential order, so you know what needs to be done and when.

Invite your Teacher, Registrar or Deputy Principal to come and talk to you about how they organise excursions. After completion of their talk you may need to chop and change your task-timeline around.

Add names (in pairs) to each task on the time-line, except for those that could be completed by Transport Managers and Chefs.

Display the task time-line in the classroom and tick off each task as you complete it.

Apart from being a member of a group, you also need to do some independent work!

You will take on the roles of Reef Guides and Presenters.
