How you can benefit
What does the Congress teach us?
Participants should come away from the Congress with these messages.
- Youth are able to make a difference if given the opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of sustainable catchment and Great Barrier Reef coastline use and management.
- Other groups are willing to help each other if they perceive a commitment as well as achievable outcomes.
- Action is about involvement and using skills, knowledge, technology and teamwork.
- A mixture of people from all walks of life are able to assist to make a real difference to an environment.
- Relevant and informative data is required about the state and conditions of various sections of the environment so that appropriate decisions may be made.
