Reef Guardian School students were told to get snapping and capture their understanding of sustainability as part of the 2007 Sea-ing Sustainability competition.
Some great prizes were up for grabs including a DVD handycam, digital cameras and accessories.
Over 30 entries were received and judged for visual expression and written explanation of sustainability, composition, creativity and how well they reflected sustainability in their activities.

Jodeci Warne 10 years old Beaconsfield State School Lantana Busters! Description On Wednesday the 12th of September we went to our revegitation site at Sandfly Creek. We were pulling out a Lantana; a weed that can kill other plants, by taking up all their space to grow. It was very important for us to pull it out otherwise it will kill a lot of the native plants.

Courtney Michael 11 years old Hambledon State School Marvellous Mulch is Tree-Mendous Description For schools Tree Day and afterwards, Year 6D have been keen to do lots of mulching of the Native Trail garden. They had fun too. At the end of 2006 we had regenerated and expanded the Native Trail after Cyclone Larry. The garden at the front of our school is an attractive cool shady place. The trees are named and students can learn about trees and their importance inthe environment.
