Aschelminthes - both marine and freshwater animals
The aschelminthes are regarded by scientists as a group of evolutionary intermediate animals, sandwiched between the ribbon worms and the non-segmented coelomate worms.

They are a group of marine and freshwater animals that include rotifers and roundworms (nematodes). The group also includes the tardigardes or water bears which are sometimes linked to the arthropods.

The majority of free-living aschelminths are tiny worm-shaped animals, ranging from microscopic size to a centimetre in length. Typically, many aschelminths have no body cavity, though some of the larger roundworms and rotifers do.
